Orville Vlotho, 73, of Hartley died Tuesday, Oct. 16, 1984, in a Sioux City hospital after brief illness. Services were at 10 a. m. Saturday, Oct. 20, in St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Hartley. The Rev. John Schauer officiated. Burial was in Pleasant Hill Cemetery at Ireton under the direction of the Baumgarten Funeral Home of Hartley.

Mr. Vlotho was born Nov. 23, 1910, near Ireton and attended rural school. He married Nora Ricklefs Aug. 19, 1933, at Dunlap. They farmed near Ireton until 1962. He then was a truck driver until 1972, when he retired. They moved to Hartley in 1976. He was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church.

Survivors include his wife; two sons, Rodney of Eldora and Dennis of Green Bay, WI; one daughter, Mrs. Jerry (Cynthia) Johnson of Hawarden; one sister, Mrs. George (Armilda) Stoffer of Castro Valley, CA, and six grandchildren
