Of Rural Akron Dies At Age 53 Walter Nannen

Walter Nannen, 53, of rural Akron, brother of Harry Nannen of Ireton, died Sunday at his farm home after suffering a heart attack. Funeral services will be held at 2 o'clock this afternoon (Thursday)at St. John Evangelical Lutheran church in Preston township with Rev. James Sandvick officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Mr. Nannen was born April 8, 1913, at Akron. He married Lydia Galtermann September 15, 1940, at York Center, Illinois.

He was a member of St John Evangelical Lutheran church.

Survivors include the widow; two daughters,Marilyn and Melinda Nannen, both at home; a brother, Harry Nannen of Ireton, and three sisters, Mrs. Marie Beeck, Mrs. Johanna Andresen and Mrs. Katherine Hillrichs, all of Le Mars.
