Funeral services for Wilbur G. Eilers,41, of Ireton, who died Thursday at the Sioux Falls Veterans hospital after a three-year illness, were held at 2:p.m. Saturday at St. Paul's Lutheran church in Ireton. Rev. Paul Friedrich officiated with burial in Pleasant Hill cemetery.
Mr Eiler was born at Craig on September 28, 1922. He Married Shirley Vanderham at Le Mars November 28, 1945. He was a member of the St. Paul's Lutheran church in Ireton having been confirmed at St. John's Lutheran church at Craig on March 21, 1937. Mr.Eilers was a veteran od World War II and Bertram Post 276 of the American Legion. He had been an Ireton business man 18 years.
Survivors include the widow; three sons, Tom, Mark and Greg, at home; his mother; Mrs. Fred Eilers at Le Mars; two sisters Mrs. Marland Klohs of Le Mars and Mrs. Douglas Freed of Manitou Spring, Colo., and a brother Robert Elier, of Hartley, Iowa.
