Memorial services for Walter G.Spire,68, of Le Mars formerly of this area, who died from a heart attack last Thursday while driving the car in which he and his wife were driving near Mitchell, SD., on their vacation, were held at 2 o'clock Saturday afternoon at the Barnard Funeral home in Hawarden with burial in Grace Hill cemetery.

Rev. G.O. Thompson of Le Mars a Presbyterian ministor and dean of men at Westmar college, officiated.

Mr. Spire was born at Alcester June 21, 1896. He married Pearl Collins of Union county. They had no children. He was employed as a saleman for the International Harvester company working out of Le Mars
