Funeral services for Mrs.Algot Carlson,64,who died Saturday at the Hawarden hosptial following a lingering illness, were held at 2 o'clock Tuesday at the Big Springs Baptist church, Rev. Henry B. Nelson officiating. Interment was in the church cemetery under the direction of the Nilson Funeral home.

Syliva Elizabeth June Lawson was born September 21, 1901, at Alcester, SD., and lived her entire life in that vicinity. She married Algot Carlson at the home of her parents at Alcester February 9, 1929.

A member of the Big Springs Baptist church, she sang in the choir for 50 years and was the choir director for the last 25 years. She was also a member of the women's organization of the church.

Preceding her in death besides her parents were a sister, Goldie Schroeder and two brothers, Harvey and Clifford.

Survivors include the widower; two sisters, Mrs. Ruby Anderson and Mrs. Pearl Brown both of Inglewood, Calif and three brothers Hubert Lawson of Oakland, Calif, Caleb Lawson of Bellingham, Wash. and Archie Lawson of Sacremento, Calif.
