GRANVILLE Iowa - Eugene E. Graff, 61, of Spring Hill, Fla., formerly of Granville, passed away Oct. 17, 2010, at Brooksville Care Center in Spring Hill, Fla., following a nine-month illness with cancer. Services were held Oct. 22, 2010 at St. Francis Cabrini Catholic Church in Spring Hill, Fla. Eugene was born on March 23, 1949, to Milo and Irene (O'Meara) Graff of Granville, Iowa. He attended St. Joseph Catholic school and graduated in 1967. He attended Briar Cliff College for two years, served in the U.S. Army for two years and after his honorable discharge, he completed his education at Briar Cliff and received his degree.
Eugene married Mary Lou Cole on June 6, 1971. To this union two children were born, Shannon and Brian. Eugene later married Linda Poremba
Survivors include his wife, Linda; son, Brian (Liz) Graff of Goreville, Ill.; daughter, Shannon (Josh) O'Dear of Houston, Texas; three grandchildren, Isabelle O'Dear and Connor and Ian Graff; six stepchildren Chuck, Richard, Robert, Raymond, Laura and Becky; eight stepgrandchildren; two brothers, Bruce Graff of Decorah, Iowa, and Milo Jr. (Jeannie) Graff of Enid, OkIa.; four sisters, Pat Schiltz of Remsen, Iowa, Mary Ellen Heying of Granville, Jolene De Vries of Dakota Dunes S.D.,and Juliann (Mark) Debner, Bakersfield, Calif.; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; four brothers, John, Ken, Doug and Phillip in infancy; and two brothers -in -law, Don SchlItz and Gene Heying.
