Ira DeRaad Of Ireton Succumbs

Funeral service were held on Monday at 1:30 at the Ireton city hall for Ira J. DeRaad,66, who died Thursday at the Veterans hospital at Sioux Falls. Burial was in Pleasant Hill cemetery.

Mr. DeRaad was born July 12, 1895, at Maurice, son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Jasper DeRaad. On Feb 8, 1928, he married Miss Dorothy Jaeger and they lived their entire married life in the Ireton vicinty. They retired from the farm last fall and moved into the home of the late Mrs. Emma Coltins.

Surviving are the widow; two sons, Jasper and Alfred; one daughter, Ruby, all of Ireton; a brother of Worthing SD.; two sisters Mrs. Jessie Biesbrock of Zeeland, Mich., and Mrs. Gertrude vandebrink of California.
