Mrs. Henry Allen passed away suddenly about 7:40 Wednesday evening at her home in this city from heart trouble. While she had been failing in health for some time her condition was not regarded as serious. She had attended to her work all day and just shortly before her death she had looked after a few evening chores.

Funeral services will be held from the Baptist Church in this city Sunday afternoon. Interment will be made in Grace Hill cemetery.

Anna Erickson was born in Naarke, Sweden, Oct. 6, 1870, and passed away March 27, 1929, at the age of 58 years, 5 months and 27 days. She came to America in 1887 and lived in the Big Springs community with her parents. She was united in marriage with Henry Allen June 27, 1900. Following her marriage she lived at Lake City, Iowa, for a couple of years. She then came to Hawarden where she has made her home continuously since that time. Her father passed away June 27, 1928, at her home. A number of years ago she united with the Baptist Church of Hawarden and she was a faithful member until her death. She is survived by her husband and two children, Mrs. Park Hudson and Leslie Allen, both of Hawarden. She also leaves four sisters, Mrs. A. J. Anderson of Sunland, Calif.; Mrs. Chas. F. Anderton of Alcester; Mrs. Ed Lundberg of Hawarden; Mrs. Della Head of Jefferson, Iowa; and two brothers, Carl Erickson of Alcester and Arthur Erickson of South Bend, Ind.

Mrs. Allen was a kind and loving wife and mother. No task was too hard or sacrifice too great for her when ministering to the wants of her family. She was also a kind and loyal neighbor, always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. Her sudden taking comes as a great shock to the members of her family and her large circle of friends.
