Margaret Gaspar, 89, of Rock Valley died Friday at Valley Manor Nursing Home.

Services were Monday at 1:30 P.M., at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Rock Valley. The Rev. William Wingert officiated. Burial was in the parish cemetery.

Mrs. Gaspar, the former Margaret Haupert, was born Aug. 16, 1896, in Granville. She attended St. Joseph's School. She married Michael Fay Gaspar on Jan. 12, 1921, in Granville. The couple farmed southeast of Alton and in 1935 moved to a farm west of Rock Valley. Mr. Gaspar died March 4, 1949. She made her home in Valley Manor for several years.

She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, Confraternity of Christian Mothers and Catholic Daughters of America.

She is survived by a brother, Lawrence of Pipestone, Minn.; three sisters, Mrs. Bill (Cecilia) Stallman of Independence, Mo., Mrs. Ray (Clarinda) Portz of Pipestone and Mrs. Frank (Saverna) Spieler of Granville.
