Mrs. John Fosmark passed away about 10:30 Sunday evening at the home of her nephew, Martin Anderson, following an illness of more than three years duration. Funeral services were held at the Anderson home at three o'clock Wednesday afternoon, conducted by Rev. Johnson, pastor of the Norwegian Lutheran church at Alcester, and interment was made in Grace Hill Cemetery.

Anna Johnson was born in Norway June 30, 1838, and died in Hawarden July 11, 1920, having attained the age of 82 years and 11 days. She was united in marriage with John Fosmark on Aug. 31, 1865. One daughter was born to them but she passed away when only about ten years of age. They came to America in 1894 and after residing in North Dakota for a number of years moved to Hawarden about eleven years ago. Her husband passed away in Hawarden Feb. 20, 1920, and during the months since his death she has been cared for at the home of her nephew, Martin Anderson. For the past three years she has been bedfast and since her husband's death it has been her earnest prayer that she might also be soon called by her Maker. She is survived by one older sister in Norway.
