Minnie F. Green, 92, Alcester, S.D. and former Hawarden resident, died Saturday, Jan. 10, 1992 at the Hawarden hospital.

Services were Monday at Porter- Dow funeral home in Hawarden. Rev. Paul Hansen officiated. Burial was in Grace Hill cemetery in Hawarden.

Miss Green was born Sept. 21, 1899 in Union county, S.D., daughter of William and Rhoda (McQuire) Green. She graduated from Hawarden high school in 1919 and attended Normal School in Madison, S.D. She taught rural school in Sioux, Sac, and Ida counties in Iowa and Arthur, Iowa. She lived in Hawarden before moving to Morningside Manor in Alcester, S.D. in November 1990.

She was a member of the Associated Church in Hawarden.

Survivors include three nephews, Wayne and Paul Venard and Rex Green, all of Hawarden, and a niece Fern Holland of California.
