Warren E. Wasser, 78, of Hawarden died Monday, Jan. 6, 1992, in the Hawarden Community hospital.

Services were Friday at the United Methodist Church in Hawarden. Rev. Paul Hanson officiated. Burial was in Grace Hill cemetery under direction of Porter-Dow Funeral home in Hawarden.

Mr. Wasser was born April 21, 1913, in Hawarden, the son of Charles and Ida (Searle) Wasser. He married Hazel L. Keehn Jan. 11, 1937 in Hawarden. The couple lived south of Hawarden where he farmed and raised cattle. They retired in September 1974 and moved into Hawarden. Mr. Wasser was a member of the United Methodist Church in Hawarden.

Survivors include his wife. Hazel of Hawarden; a son, Dennis and his wife, Kay of Ireton; a daughter, Mrs. James (Norma) Petry of Hawarden; four grandchildren; and many nieces J nephews. He was preceded in death by three brothers, Hayes Jr., Lloyd and Hobert; and two sisters, Evelyn Treiber and Maxine Eberlein.
