Frank Barnum, 64, of Hawarden, died Friday, July 12, 2002 at the Hawarden Community Hospital. Funeral service was Monday, at the Porter Funeral Home in Hawarden, with the Rev. Todd Bunge officiating. Burial was in Grace Hill Cemetery at Hawarden.

Frank Barnum was born Dec. 27, 1937 at Hawarden, to William "Bud" and Claire (Bryson) Barnum. He attended Hawarden Community Schools. He worked for Van Buskirk Construction building golf courses and later for Higman Sand and Gravel in Akron. He then worked for Wahoo Concrete before retiring in 1999. Mr. Barnum was a member of the Eagles Club.

Survivors include his father, William "Bud" Barnum; three brothers, Rodney, Donald and Darold all of Hawarden; three nephews, Donald J. Barnum, Troy Barnum and Jason Barnum; and niece, Tammy Flittie. He was preceded in death by his mother, Claire in 1990.
