The death of Jimmie Eason which occurred Sunday morning, May 7th, will bring sadness to many hearts in this community. Just entering into noble manhood, he possessed a kind heart, a noble soul; these combined formed the basis of a noble character. That he was esteemed highly by young and old alike, was evidenced by the large attendance at his funeral which was held in the Congregational Church Moncay afternoon. The relatives have the heartfelt sympathy of all in their great sorrow.
(Found in the 1885 census Stephen Eason born abt 1853 (1849) in England, wife Susan Eason 22(born 1860) son James 7, and Mary 2. Found on line that Susan maiden name was Pool, daughter of Stephanus Pool and Hilkje Bosgra who were married in Friesland Netherlands. Stephen and Susan had a large family of children)
