The Friends of Mr. and Mrs. E. S. (Edward) Thayer extend to them their keenest sympathy in the loss they sustained by the death of their infant child. The funeral took place here on Sunday.
(This was the family of Edward S. Thayer 1856 - 1922 and wife Jessie Smith 1862-1947. Jessie's obit was in the Rock Valley Bee of Jun 5, 1947. She was the daughter of Wm. Smith born in Batavia MI. Edward's parents were John C. Thayer and Martha Webb. The Thayers had three sons, Stan, Wayne and Edward)
