Carl H. Eldhardt

SIOUX CITY, Iowa — Carl H.
Eldhardt, 73, of Sioux City, died
Sunday, Oct. 2, 1994, at Hallmark
Care Center after a lengthy illness
He is the father of Susan Davis of
Hawarden.

Mr. Eldhardt was born April 28,
1921, in Randolph, Neb., and attended
country schools. He married
Doris E. Brown March 29,
1940, in Sioux City. He lived in various
cities and returned to the
Sioux City area in 1951. An army
veteran of World War II, he had
served in the Pacific theater. He
was a lifelong carpenter.

Mr. Eldhardt was a member of
Carpenter's Union Local 948. He
was a Lutheran.

Survivors include his wife; three
daughters, Sandra Carmichael of
Springfield, Ore., Sherry and her
husband, Stuart Sherman of Aurora,
Colo., and Susan and her husband,
Duane Davis of Hawarden;
twin sisters, Mary Meyer and Marie
Dunn, both of Pilger, Neb.; a
brother, Larry and his wife, Alvena
Eldhardt of Moville; 10 grandchildren;
11 great-grandchildren and
numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his
parents; two brothers and two
great-grandchildren.

Memorial services will be 11 a.m.
Tuesday at Christy Morningside
Funeral Home with the Rev. Susan
Miller, Hospice of Siouxland chaplain,
officiating. Burial will be in
Graceland Park Cemetery. Visitation
will 9 to 11 a.m. Tuesday at
the funeral home.
