From the Alton Democrat of Feb 25, 1892 Granville Gleanings
We are sorry or record the death of Mrs. Catherine Lukas, mother of Mrs. B. Plathe, who died Tuesday morning. The remains will be sent to Dyersville for burial.
(The exact identity of Mrs. Lukas could not be found. There was a Nicolas and Catherine Lucas living in Dubuqe county in 1885 which is where Dyersville is located.)
