Elizabeth "Betty" Lange, 67, of Rock Valley died Sunday, July 19, 1998 at her residence.

Services were held on Wednesday, July 22 at 10:30 a.m. at Our Saviour's Lutheran Church in Rock Valley. The Rev. James Demke officiated. Burial was in Peace Lutheran Cemetery, rural Sioux Center, under the direction of the Porter Funeral Home in Rock Valley.

Elizabeth was born Oct. 11, 1930 in Hurley, S.D., the daughter of Christian and Mary (Dwyer) Christensen. She graduated from Washington High School in Sioux Falls. She married Emil Lange on Aug. 20, 1950 in Sioux Falls. The couple farmed near Rock Valley until 1979 when they retired into Rock Valley. She was a homemaker.

Mrs. Lange was a member of Our Savior's Lutheran Church and the Ladies Circle. She enjoyed gardening, baking and traveling.

Survivors include her husband; four sons and their wives, Larry and Jill of Inwood, Denny and Judy of Orange City, Glenn and Cheryl of Rock Valley and Jerry and Bev of Sioux Falls; a daughter and her husband, Sharon and Daron Klinkhammer of Howard, S.D.; a brother, Lloyd Christensen of Maple Grove, Minn., and 16 grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents.
