Mrs. G. A. Dunham, nee Miss Eliza Taylor, died at her home in this city on Tuesday, Jan. 2, of that dread disease, consumption, of which she has been a sufferer for more than a year. She leaves a husband, four children, a mother, besides brothers, sisters and other relatives, as well as a host of friends, embracing nearly the entire community, to mourn her loss. She was born at Hudson (then Eden), S.D., in 1873 and has ever since resided in this vicinity. She was laid to rest on Thursday from the Presbyterian church, Rev. Anderson conducting the services.

Another news note in the same paper:
A magnetic healer from Sioux Falls was called to attend Mrs. G. A. Dunham Tuesday of last week.

A brief note in the Alton Democrat (Jan. 6, 1900) adds that she died at about 7 o'clock Tuesday evening.
