Harriet L. Vanden Berg, age 72, of Sheldon, Iowa, passed away on Friday, June 11, 2010, at Sanford Sheldon Senior Care in Sheldon.

Harriet L. Vanden Berg was born on August 8, 1937, in Primghar, Iowa. She was the daughter of Jake and Jennie (Siebersma) Vanden Berg. She lived her youth in Primghar, Matlock and Sheldon, Iowa, where she attended the Sanborn Christian Grade School, finished grade school in Matlock and graduated from Sheldon High School.
Harriet was employed at Coast to Coast and Kats Hardware in Sheldon. She was later employed at the Sheldon Community Hospital for 28 years. She was a dedicated and hard worker.
Harriet enjoyed bowling and was on a bowling team for league in Sheldon. She bowled in the state and national tournaments.
She was a member of the First Christian Reformed Church in Sheldon, where she was active when she was able.
Harriet will be remembered as a loving and caring person, whose family was very important to her.
She passed away on Friday, June 11, 2010, at Sanford Sheldon Senior Care Center in Sheldon.
Those left to cherish her memories are her brothers: Stanley Vanden Berg of Sheldon, IA, Franklin A. and Wilma Vanden Berg of Sheldon, IA; three nephews and one niece.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother: Franklin A. Vanden Berg; one nephew: Franklin J. Vanden Berg.
