John Pierre of Kingsley, about 65, who was born and raised on a farm east of Hawarden, died in a Sioux City hospital early Wednesday morning.

Funeral services will be held at 9 o'clock Friday morning at Kingsley.

Mr. Pierre, a brother of Mrs. Gar White of Hawarden, entered the hospital Saturday night. Other survivors include the widow and three children.

The Pierre family left Hawarden in 1935.
