Mrs. W.L. McLeod passed away at her home in San Luis Obispo, Calfornia on Sept. 1, 1970 Memorial services were held Sept, 6 with Rev. Raymond with of the United Methodist Church of San Luis Obispo Officiated. Final resting place will be McComb, Mississippi beside her husband, William who preceded her in death in Hawarden in 1950

Carrie H. McLeod was born April 3, 1888 in Upton, Kentucky. She married Wm. Lenton Mcleod in 1915 in McComb, Mississippi and the new home was estabilshed in the north. To this union were two daughters Mrs.O.J.(Maxine)Falkenstern of San Lius Obispo, California and Mrs Chas.L(Dorothy Lee)Tubbs of Oxnard, California.

The Mcleod family moved to Hawarden in 1924 where Mr. McLeod was a telegraph operator for the Northwestern Railway. He later became agent and held this position at the time of his death.

Mrs. McLeod was a member of the Methodist Church and the Order of the Eastern Star in Hawarden. Following her husband's death, she moved to McComb and 15 years ago moved to San Luis Obispo, California.

Survivors in addition to her 2 daughters are 4 grandson, Lee Douglass Falkenstern, Lance McLeod Falkenstern, Charles Lee Tubbs Jr. and John McLeod Tubbs, 2 great grandchildren.
