Erick J. Falk,79, longtime Hawarden resident died December 26, at the Hawarden Community hospital.

Funeral service were held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, December 31, at the Trinity Lutheran church in Hawarden with Rev. O.F. Pittack officiating. Burial was in Grace Hill Cemetery under the direction of Dow Funeral Home. Mrs. William was the organist and Verle Marienau was the soloist. Casketbearers were Clarence Muth, John H. Dekkers and Elmer Van Wyhe.

Born February 24, 1890, in Sweden. He came to the United States in 1910 and settled in Alcester. He moved to Hawarden in 1912 and farmed until retirment in 1960. On March 14, 1923 he married Hilda Ronsiek in Hawarden. He was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church.

Survivors are his widow; two son, Harlan of Omaha and Alfred of Hawarden; a daugther Mrs. Dale (Lorraine) Edmunds of Hawarden and a grandchild.
