Funeral services were held at St. John Lutheran Church in rural Ireton at 1:30 P.M., November 2 for Fred J. Vander Hamm, 75, of Ireton, who died at an Orange City nursing home October 29.

Services were conducted by the Rev. Arthur Anacker and burial was in the church cemetery.

Mr. Vander Hamm was born in Reading Township, near Ireton, August 13, 1899. He resided in the Ireton area all his life and farmed until an accident in 1963 forcing his retirement. He had been a resident of the nursing home since that time.

Mr. Vander Hamm had at one time served as president of the Sioux County Rural Electrification Association and had been a member of that organization's board of directors for 20 years.

Survivors include one brother, Emil of Phoenixville, Pa.
