Funeral services were held at the First Reformed Church in Orange City at 10 A.M., September 21 for James Zevenbergen, 71, of Orange City, who died September 18 at his home after a long illness.

Services were conducted by the Rev. Raymond Van Heukelom and burial was in West Lawn Cemetery at Orange City.

Mr. Zevenbergen was born in The Netherlands, April 22, 1903. He came to the U.S. in 1920. He was married to Gertrude Raak January 26, 1927, in Orange City and the couple farmed in Sioux County until 1942 when they retired and moved into Orange City.

Survivors include the widow; two daughters, Mrs. Gary (Carol) Van Gelder of Orange City and Mrs. Paul (Lois) Stander of Alton; five grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Herman Vander Vegte of Hull; four brothers, Peter in The Netherlands, Arie of Sheldon and Cornie and John, both of Baldwin, Wisc.
