Funeral services were held at the First Christian Reformed Church at Sheldon at 1:30 P.M., January 4 for Gerrit Vande Brake, 90, of Sheldon, who died January 2 at the Hull nursing home.

Services were conducted by the Rev. Nicholas Vogelzang and burial was in East Lawn Cemetery at Sheldon.

Mr. Vande Brake was born at Sioux Center, February 8, 1884. He married Agnes Mulder, March 14, 1907, at Carnes. Mr. & Mrs. Vande Brake farmed near Sioux Center and Orange City. Mrs. Vande Brake died several years ago.

Survivors include six sons, Gerald of Sheldon, Elmer and Gilbert, both of Orange City, Cornie of Hollandale, Minn., Martin and William, both of Los Angeles, Calif.; two daughters, Mrs. Jerry (Nellie) Vander Pol of Sheldon and Mrs. Marinus (Martha) Mulder of Los Angeles; 39 grandchildren and 59 great grandchildren.
