Funeral services were held recently at Cypress, Calif. for William John Vander Linden, 47, of Anaheim, Calif., a former Ireton resident, who was killed in a plane crash near Whittier, Calif.

Mr. Vander Linden was born at Ireton December 22, 1927. He had lived at Inwood and Sioux Falls, S.D. He married Norma Jean Thinglum November 19, 1949, at Fairview, S.D.

Survivors include his widow; a daughter, Diane, two sons, David and Dall, both at home; his mother, Mrs. Elizabeth Vander Linden of Sheldon, five brothers, Robert, John and Dennis all of Sheldon, Paul of Ashton and James of Sioux Falls, S.D., three sisters, Mrs. John R. (Betty) Kreykes and Mrs. Robert (Julie) Merley, Jr., both of Sheldon, and Mrs. Cliff (Janice) Vander Schaaf of Sanborn.
