Loren Jay Smit was born on March 9, 1978 to Donald and Myra Smit. Loren departed this life on January 9, 1979. He is survived by his parents and one sister, Leslie Joy. He is also survived by his grandparents, Mr and Mrs Henry Mellema of Orange City and Mr and Mrs Gerrit Nyhof of Sioux Center; Great Grandparents Mr and Mrs Dick Verdoorn of Orange City. His Grandfather, George Smit, preceded him.
