Funeral services were held at the Pioneer United Methodist Church at Rock Valley at 10:30 A.M., November 14 for Mrs. Emma Kosters, 86, of Rock Valley who died at a Rock Valley nursing home November 11 after a long illness.

Services were conducted by the Rev. David Waterman and burial was in Valley View Cemetery under the direction of the Porter Funeral Home.

Mrs. Kosters, the former Emma Roorda, was born September 15, 1889 in Sioux Center. She was married to Henry J. Kosters February 24, 1910 at Sioux Center. Mr. Kosters preceded her in death.

Survivors include three sons, Hein H. of Rock Valley, Hessel E. of Bethesda, Md., and William A. of Vermillion, S.D.; a daughter, Mrs. Ben (Rena) Roberts of Vancouver, Wash., two brothers, Ray of Sun City, Calif., and Spencer of Sioux City; a sister, Miss Bessie Roorda of Sun City; 11 grandchildren, and five great grandchildren.
