Mrs. Garret H. Van Roekel, 65, of Sioux Center, died Wednesday, February 14, in a Sioux City hospital after a long illness.

Services were held at 1:30 p.m. Friday in the First Reformed Church at Sioux Center. Dr. Thurman Rynbrandt officiated. Burial was in Memory Gardens Cemetery under the direction of the Vander Ploeg Funeral Home.

Mrs. Van Roekel, the former Johanna Brantsen, was born June 11, 1913, at Sioux Center.

She was married September 30, 1930, at Sioux Center.

Survivors include the widower; a son, Lyle of Sioux Center; two daughters, Mrs. Gene (Maria) Moss of Sioux Center and Mrs. Marvin (Glenda) Fedders of Le Mars and seven grandchildren.
