Funeral services were held at Central Reformed Church here at 2 P.M., July 28 for John D. Overweg, 67, of Sioux Center, who died July 24 at the Sioux Center Community Hospital.

Services were conducted by the Rev. Robert Huizenga and burial was in Valley View Cemetery at Rock Valley.

Mr. Overweg was born at New Holland, S.D., April 7, 1908. He married Hattie Voetberg.

Survivors include the widow; three sons, Denis of Rock Valley, John of Modesto, Calif., and Donal of Palm Beach, Fla.; three daughters, Mrs. John (Anna) Hilt of Canton, S.D., Mrs. John (Hariet) Vande Kieft of Maurice and Mrs. Darwin (Marlene) Kats of Orange City; three brothers, Gerritt of Stickeny, S.D., Maynard of White Lake, S.D., and Burt of Pierre, S.D.; two sisters, Mrs. Herb Lemke of Pierre and Mrs. Jake Droge of Stickney, 24 grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
