ORANGE CITY--Andrew "Andy" Mars,56,of Orange City, died Friday at his daughter's home in Grand Rapids, Mich., of an apparent heart attack.

Services were held at 10:30a.m. Monday in the Calvary Christian Reformed Church in Orange City. The Rev.Raymond E. Weiss officiated. Burial was in West Lawn Cemetery at Orange City with the Van Etten-Oolman Funeral Home in charge.

Mr. Mars was born Sept.19, 1921, at Seney. He married Louisa Van Engen Jan.24, 1945, at Ireton. They moved to Orange City in 1974. Mr. Mars was employed at Harkers Meats Wholesale in Orange City. He was a member of Calvary Christian Reformed Church of Orange City.

Survivors include the widow; four daughters,Mrs. David (Judy)Ellens of Grand Rapids, Mich.,Miss Janice Mars of Sioux City, Mrs. Mark (Glenda) Barinsky of Hawarden and Mrs.Phil (Gail)Roskamp of Hull; four grandchildren; his mother Mrs.A.Van Peursem of Orange City; Three sisters, Mrs. Cynthia Hofland of Orange City, Mrs.Jacoba Pennings of Sheldon and Mrs.Arie (Tena) Kramer of Ireton; and three brothers, Peter and Jake both of Orange City and Minderd of Paullina.
