Mrs. Peter Wassenaar Dies in Minnesota
Maurice--Special:--Mrs. Peter Wassenaar,75, died at the home of her daughter Mrs. Ben Apenhorst at Greenleafton, Minn. on Monday evening. She had suffered with diabetes for some time and had left her home in Maurice where she lived for the past 20 years to be cared for at the home of her daughter in Minnesota.
Mrs. Wassenaar's husband preceded her in death 6 years ago. Survivors include 6 children: Mrs. Gerrit De Zeeuw, Orange City; Mrs. Ben Apenhorst (Anna)of Greenlefton, Minn.; Mrs. Arie De Raad (Johanna); Mrs. Cornie Popma (Sarah) both of Bellflower, Calif; and Peter Wassenaar who is a U.S. Army food inspector last located in Georgia.
The body will arrive in Orange City at the undertaking parlors on Friday morning and the funeral will be held on Friday afternoon at 2 o'clock. Interment will be at Orange City.
Late word was received that both daughters, Mrs. Arie De Raad and Mrs. Cornie Popma of Bellflower, Cal. would arrive for the funeral.
