WIERSMA, VANDENBURG, ALBERDA

ORANGE CITY--Mrs. Peter Wiersma,95, of Orange City, died Jan.12 at a nursing home here.

Services were held at 11 a.m. Jan. 15 in Frist Christian Reformed Church. The Rev.John Hellinga and the Rev. John Rubingh officiated. Burial was in West Lawn Cemetery, with the Van Etten Funeral Home in charge.

Mrs.Wiersma, the former Mary VandenBurg, was born April 19, 1891 in The Netherlands. The family moved to the United States when she was an infant. She was married March 3, 1912. The couple farmed until 1919, than moved to Orange City where Mr. Wiersma was employed by a produce firm. Mrs. Wiersma became a linotype operator, and was employed 25 years by De Volksvriend, a Dutch newspaper. Mr Wiersma died Aug. 8, 1962. Mrs. Wiersma was a member of First Christian Reformed Church.

Survivors include a daughter, Miss Sadie of Orange City and a sister Mrs.Henry Alberda of Bozeman, Mont.
