Resident Here many years dies. Clarence Peterson 65, a resident of Hawarden and vicinity many years, died Sunday at the Hawarden hospital following a stroke. Funeral services were held on Tuesday afternoon at 1:30 in the Barnard Funearl home and at 2 o'clock in Trinity Lutheran church with Rev. H. E. Sieving in charge. Burial was in Grace Hill Cemetery.
Clarence Peterson, son of Andrew and Dorothy Peterson was born March 13, 1885, at Forest City, Iowa. He came to Hawarden in 1900 and farmed in this vicinity a number years. He was married to Eva Hartwig in Sioux city. He is survived by the widow, three children, Ronald, Darlene and Marlin; seven Brothers and two sisters. he was confirmed in the Lutheran church at Forest City.
