Mrs. Johnson of Ireton Succumbs

Funeral services for Mrs. Edward C. Johnson, 69, of Ireton, who died Monday (August 30, 1965) at a Sioux City nursing home after a long illness, will be at 2 o’clock this afternoon (Thursday) at St. Paul’s Lutheran church in Ireton. Rev. O. F. Pittack officiating. Burial will be in Pleasant Hill cemetery there under the direction of the Barnard-Dow Funeral Home.

Mrs. Johnson, the former Matilda Moeller, was born November 21, 1895, in rural Ireton and lived in the Ireton vicinity all of her life.

She married Edward C. Johnson on November 21, 1917.

Survivors include the widower; three brothers, Peter and Richard Moeller, both of Hawarden and John of Ireton. A number of nieces and nephews also reside in this area.
