Rock Valley-Peter Hoogendoorn, 72, of Rock Valley, died Nov. 16 in Sioux Falls hospital.

Services were held at 10 A.M., Nov. 20 in the Porter Funeral Home at Rock Valley. The Rev. William Suyker officiated. Burial was in Valley View Cemetery.

Mr. Hoogendoorn was born Jan. 13, 1904, in The Netherlands. He moved to the United States in 1915. He married Katie Van Ginkel Feb. 3, 1931, at Rock Valley. Mr. Hoogendoorn retired from farming in 1964.

Survivors include the widow; three sons, Gilbert and Peter Jr., both of Inwood, and Marlin of Sioux Falls; two daughters, Mrs. Arthur (Gertrude) Kelderman and Mrs. John (Evelyn) Fluit, both of Inwood; his step-father, B. A. DeWit of Rock Valley; four brothers, Arie, Jim and Merritt, all of Rock Valley and Gus of Michigan; a step-brother, John De Wit of Inwood; three step-sisters, Mrs. Pete Berg of Rock Rapids, Mrs. William Iwen and Mrs. Nick Beek, both of Rock Valley and 28 grandchildren.
