Alton-Lloyd J. Vant Hof, 47, rural Alton, died Dec. 13 at an Orange City hospital.

Services were at 10:30 A.M., Dec. 15 at the Newkirk Reformed Church with Rev. Clarence Van Heukelom officiating. Burial was in the Newkirk Cemetery under direction of the Van Gelder Funeral Home.

Mr. Vant Hof was born Dec. 27, 1928, in rural Alton. He married Jo Ann De Leeuw Jan. 12, 1951, in Middleburg.

A lifelong resident of the Newkirk area, he had been a farmer 23 years. He was a veteran of the U. S. Army and a member of the Newkirk Reformed Church.

Survivors include the widow; two sons, Lyle of Monterey, Calif., and Larry of Orange City; a daughter, Mrs. Terry (Cheryl) Heronemus of Orange City; two brothers, Kenneth of rural Alton and Ronald of Hospers; his parents, Mr. & Mrs. Lou Vant Hof of Orange City; three stepbrothers, Orville and Glen Oolman, both of rural Orange City and Stanley Oolman of Paullina; and a grandson.
