Maas VanBeek

Sioux Center, Iowa, Maas VanBeek, 75, of Sioux Center died Thursday in a Sioux Falls, South Dakota, hospital.

Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Monday at Memorial Funeral Home. The Rev. Joel Beeke will officiate. Burial will be in Memory Garden Cemetery.

Mr. VanBeek was born November 27, 1902 in The Netherlands. He came to the United States in 1920. He married Hermina Zomermaand December 5, 1928 at Rock Valley.

Survivors include the widow: two daughters, Mrs. Dick (Gertrude) Bugers of Alvord and Mrs. William (Nellie) Middendorp of Hull, a son, Egbert of Sioux Center; six brothers, John, Gerrit, and Albert, all of Rock Valley, Albertus of Sioux Center, Peter of Ireton and Henry of Orange City; three sisters, Mrs. Gerrit Bleyenberg and Mrs. John Schelling, both of Sioux Center, and Mrs. Gerrit Grotheest of Rock Valley; 10 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.
