ROCK VALLEY--Mrs. Dick Van Beek, 79, Rock Valley, died Saturday at a Rock Valley nursing home after a lengthy illness.

Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday in the First Reformed Church. The Rev. Roger Boskul will officiate. Burial will be in Valley View Cemetery under direction of the Porter Funeral Home.

Mrs. Van Beek, the former Dora Kroese, was born Dec. 24, 1897, in Grand Rapids, Mich. She moved to O'Brien County at the age 12. She was married in Sanborn and then moved to Rock Valley. Her husband died Aug. 20 1972.

Survivors include a son George of Rock Valley; three daughters, Mrs. Ed (Elsie) Kooima, Mrs. William (Arlene) Van Den Top Jr. and Mrs. Loren (Maxine) Hansen, all of Rock Valley; two brothers, Tim and Peter, both of Sanborn; a sister, Mrs. Abe Hofman of Sanborn; 14 grandchildren and 10 great-grand-children.
