Rock Valley, Iowa - Mrs. Joe Groeneweg, 85, of Rock Valley died Friday at a Rock Valley hospital after a brief illness.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday in the Porter Funeral Home, Rock Valley. The Rev. Joel Beeke of Sioux Center will officiate. Burial will be in the Valley View Cemetery, Rock Valley.

Mrs. Groeneweg, the former Coba Jacobsma, was born August 30, 1893, at Orange City. She was married June 22, 1911, at Rock Valley. Mr. Groeneweg died in 1948.

Survivors include a son, Paul of Rock Valley; three daughters, Mrs. Joe (Adriana) Hoogendoorn of Rock Valley, Mrs. Bert (Tena) Ver Burg of Sunnyside, Washington, and Mrs. John (Jeanette) Groen of Hudson, South Dakota; two brothers, Bert and Robert, both of Rock Valley; 18 grandchildren, 47 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
