Alvord - Tammy Van Beek, 11, Alvord, died Tuesday after she was struck by a vehicle on a county road near her home.

Services were held at 1:30 p.m. Friday in the Porter Funeral Home at Rock Valley. Burial will be in Valley View Cemetery.

Tammy was a student at West Lyon Community School.

Survivors include her parents, Mr. and Mrs. John Van Beek Jr., of Alvord; three brothers, Kevin, Kurtis, and Douglas, and a sister Twila, all at home; the paternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. John Van Beek Sr. of Rock Valley, and the maternal grandmother, Mrs. Ralph Van Ginkel of rock Valley.
