Mrs. John A. Fox, 82, Orange City, died Tuesday in an Orange City nursing home.

Services were at 10:30 a.m. Friday in the Van Etten-Oolman Funeral Home. The Rev. Donald Lenderink officiated. Burial was in West Lawn Cemetery.

Mrs. Fox, the former Florence Gezelschap, was born April 14, 1895, at Orange City. She was married in July of 1944 in Minneapolis.

Mrs. Fox had been a rural school teacher for several years and later worked as a secretary for an Orange City attorney. In 1948, the couple moved to Washington. After Mr. Fox’s death in 1961, Mrs. Fox returned to Orange City. She moved in 1972 to Heritage House in Orange City.

She is survived by a sister, Mrs. Rencella Kamerman of Sioux Center
