From the Sioux County Herald, Orange City, (Sioux), Iowa, September 21, 1904, Page 1:

A little daughter of Jelle Werkhoven, 7 years old, died early Sunday of inflammation of the bowels, after a few days sickness; a trained nurse was brought from Sioux City and every effort made to avoid a fatal termination, but without avail.
