John Olivier Passed Away Suddenly Last Week Wed.

Relatives and friends alike were severely shocked last week Wednesday afternoon, May 26th, when news of the sudden death of John Olivier from a heart attack was made known.

John was up and around as usual and out in the yard when the attack came. A physician was called and all that was possible to do was done, but to no avail.

The funeral was held Saturday afternoon from the First Reformed Church. Interment was in Hope Cemetery.

Obituary.

John A. Olivier was born at Pella, Iowa, November 2, 1877. At the age of five years he moved with his parents to Alton, where they resided for a couple year before coming to the vicinity of Hull where he spent the balance of his life.

On April 26, 1907, he was united in marriage to Miss Maggie Kroon of Perkins. To this union five children were born-one girl dying at the age of ten years.

Besides his loving wife he is survived by four children, Mrs. Nellie Nyhuis of Hull, Arie, Gertrude and Dorothy, at home; two grandsons and two brothers-Thys of Hull and A. W. of Sioux Center.

John was a good husband and father, and a friend of all who knew him; and the Index joins the many friends of the family in extending sincere sympathy.
