Wilma Duits

Wilma Duits, 79, of Sioux City, Iowa (formerly of Sioux Center) died Tuesday, May 13, 1997 at the Marian Health Center in Sioux City.

Services were Friday at the Vander Ploeg Chapel in Sioux Center with the Rev. Charles Klink officiating. Burial was in the Memory Gardens Cemetery. Mrs. Duits was born on May 4, 1918, in Hull, Iowa to Arthur and Fannie (Wiersma) Olivier. She married Bert Duits on May 28, 1936, in Sioux Center. He died on January 3, 1994.

She is survived by one daughter, Vonnie and her husband, Darrel Kessler of Sioux City, one son, Dale and his wife Beth Duits of Vining, MN; nine grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and one sister, Ann Harsma of Cheyenne, WY. She was preceded in death by one son, Terry, in 1983, three brothers: Arend, Arie P. and Asa Olivier and one sister, Nell Scholten.
