G. Raymond DeJong

Maurice, Iowa—G. Raymond DeJong, 80, of Maurice, died Tuesday at a hospital in Orange City. [Date of death: 25 Apr 1978, per handwritten note on the scrapbook page]

Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Friday in the First Reformed Church at Maurice. The Rev. Erwin R. Voogd will officiate. Burial will be in Sherman Township Cemetery near Maurice, with the Van Etten-Oolman Funeral Home of Orange City in charge.

Mr. DeJong was born Nov. 4, 1897 at Orange City. He married Gertie Brink, Jan. 20, 1920, at Maurice. They farmed east of Maurice until 1976, and moved to town. He was a member of the First Reformed Church.

Survivors include the widow; a daughter, Mrs. William (Imo) Mulder of Maurice; three grandchildren; two brothers, Harry and Nelson, both of Orange City; and a half-sister, Mrs. Fred (Greta) Eason, of Alton.
