Mr. Nick Uittenbogaard was born January 13, 1889 in the Netherlands. He came to Sioux County community as a boy. He passed away at the Sheldon Hospital on August 19,1968 after a lingering illness. he reached the age of 79 years and 7 months.
On Feb. 22, 1911 he was united in marriage to Grace Oldenkamp at Hospers. Mrs. Uittenbogaard died November 25, 1967. Surviving children are Margaret, Mrs. John Klynsma of Sioux City, William of Lake Park, and Arlene, (Mrs. Jake Kramer)of Hospers. Two daughters-Grace(Mrs. Herman Langstraat) and Tena (Mrs. Louis Kroon)preceded their parents. He is survived by 21 grandchildren and 26 great grandchildren.
One grandson, Robert Langstraat, preceded him. He is survived by the following brothes and sisters: Harry of Sanborn, John of Seattle,Washington, Bert of Artesia, Calif. Gerrit of Boyden, Grace (Mrs. William Kreykes)of Primghar and Elizabeth (Mrs. Louis Alons) of Orange City.
