Family Tradition
Yunker Farm to Celebrate Century Farm Award Aug. 7

A Yunker Century Farm celebration and Toft family reunion will be held Sun., Aug. 7 from noon until 6 p.m. at the acreage located five miles south of Casey’s, three west and three-quarters of a mile south on the west side of the road.

The farm was originally purchased by Alexander Yunker in 1888 from his brother-in-law, Fred Miller, for the price of $25 an acre. Seven children were raised by the Yunker family at the farm, four by present owners Fred and Stena Yunker.

Souvenir mugs and T-shirts will be on sale during the celebration and family reunion.
