The couple were married at the home of the bride’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. S. R. Sipma at Alton 54 years ago. She was the former Flora Sipma.

They lived on a farm 5 miles north of Alton until moving to town in 1947. They are the parents of five children: Frank, deceased; Marion of Anaconda, Montana; Mrs. Jeannette VanRooyen and Arthur DeGraaf of Alton vicinity; and Mrs. Ethel Bogaard of Orange City. They have eleven grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
